Tenna, Switzerland
Tenna is a tiny mountain town in the Swiss Alps. Farm animals, wooden chalets, and stunning 360-degree views of Switzerland are all you will find up there. Disclaimer: You must have a car to get to Tenna and there is a hairpin turn every 300 feet.
Accommodation:
-
I found this remote village through Airbnb, as we needed a place to rest on a road trip between Munich and Lake Como. There is one hotel in the town, but I would much prefer to sleep in a private farmhouse like Yvonne's.
Activities:
-
The air is crisp and undeniably fresh in the mountains. Go for a hike or a run.
-
If you can bring a bike, navigate the trails and windy roads.
Food:
-
We stopped at a supermarket before heading up the mountain to make ourselves a cheese and charcuterie plate for dinner. There are no restaurants up there, so bring supplies.
